Okinawa has a lot of amazing places where you should visit during your trip. In this article, I’m going to introduce places to visit in Southern Okinawa.
1. Okinawa World
In Okinawa World, a theme park located in Nanjo City, there is a famous cave “Gyokusendo” which is said to be the most beautiful cave in East Asia. It is an old cave which was made over 300.000 years ago.

2. Zuisen Shuzo
If you are a Japanese Sake fan, you should definitely go here. Here you can enjoy a Shuzo tour and free Sake tasting. You can buy some Sake for souvenir too.

3. Yataimura
If you want to try local food of Okinawa, Yataimura is the best place to go. This is a place where people can enjoy not only its food, but also communication with other tourists and local people.

4. Shikinaen
Shikinaen was build in 18th century as a second residence of Ryukyu Kings. It is also registered as the World Heritage sites. Its access is nice and ticket is 400yen per adult.

5. First Makishi Public Market
First Makishi Public Market is the best place to enjoy cheap hot food, seafood and buy some souvenir. Not only food, they prepare a lot of clothes and general goods.

6. Naminoue Shrine
Since it is built on the beach, it is literally called “Naminoue Shrine” (Shrine on the wave in Jaoanese). It is one of the spiritual spots in Okinawa and is famous that people can get power from the shrine.

7. Valley of Gangala
In order to get into the cave, you need to book a tour beforehand. There is a “cave cafe” at the entrance of the cave where you can enjoy food with its special atmosphere of the nature.

8. International Street
It is one of the best shopping street in Naha. There are a lot of shops along the street and you can find almost anything you may want (snacks, clothes, general goods and Okinawa Shisa).
